“Unbroken Ukraine: The Cost of Freedom”

The Association of Ukrainians in the Republic of Ireland and partners inviting you to the fundraising event that will take place at Ballymagarvey  Village, Balrath, Navan, Co. Meath on February 2, 2020,from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The event conveys the truth about Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine and explains related matters, the violation of human rights in the occupied territories and on the annexed Crimean Peninsula, in particular, and aims to raise funds to support Ukrainian families of prisoners of war and fallen soldiers – victims of the war in the Donbass region of Ukraine.

You will view photographic exhibitions and displays created by Ukrainian authors that show contemporary Ukraine and reflect the Ukrainians’ aspirations for an independent and peaceful life in the big family of European nations.

This event will offer special experiences. You will hear witness testimonies and meet distinguished guests from Ukraine: Oleksandr Tereshchenko (the Deputy Minister of The Ministry for Veterans, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine),Eskender Bariiev (the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Centre CTRC and member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people),Olha Volynska (Unbroken Women film director), Iryna Dovgan (the film heroine), Alla Makuh and Olena Sugak(mothers of prisoners of war) among them.

During the event interval, you will taste well-known Ukrainian national dishes and beverages, relish tea/coffee with delicious sandwiches, and enjoy traditional Ukrainian music and new pieces in the Irish-music style (Banjo, Violin, Guitar, Flute) performed by the group “Ukiez” and listen to the songs by Donetsk singer Olha Akulova.

Entry ticket is required. The cost of admission: adult ticket €35, child ticket (under 16’s) €25, family tickets (2 adults and 2 kids) 100€ and child ticket (under 6’s) free.
